Business agility: need, readiness and IT strategies

Research Description

Business agility can be defined as the ability to sense highly uncertain external and internal changes, and respond to them reactively or proactively, based on innovation of the internal operational processes, involving the customer in exploration and exploitation activities, while leveraging the capabilities of partners in the business network. What are factors that drive the need and what is the relative importance of these factors? Moreover, research that assesses the current level of agility (agility readiness) is scarce.

In this research we aim to construct and validate a measuring instrument to assess business agility need, business agility readiness and business agility IT strategies.
