11/02/2008: Mark de Reuver: Governance dynamics in value networks

While developing, rolling out and exploiting next generation mobile services, multiple actors have to work together in value networks, and their collective action has to be governed. The research researches how governance mechanisms change over time, by studying value networks co-evolve with their environment, their business model and the value network actors during subsequent phases of service development, roll-out and exploitation. To do so, we use survey and case studies. The presentation will focus on the design of the case studies, detailing its position in the overall research; case study selection; information sources and field procedures; and data analysis.
